Privacy Policy

Effective September 30, 2026

The short version

tolling.info has no accounts, no sign-up and no forms. We never ask for your name, email address or payment details, and we do not sell or rent information about visitors. We do use analytics services that record how the site is used; they are listed below.

What is collected when you visit

• Cloudflare hosts the site. To serve and protect it, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser and device details, the page you asked for and the page that sent you. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and measures load speed without cookies. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Google Analytics records the pages you view, roughly where you are (worked out from your IP address), your device and browser, the site that referred you and how you interact with the page. It runs through Cloudflare, and some of its requests go to doubleclick.net, a Google advertising domain. We do not show ads. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• OpenFreeMap supplies the background map. When you scroll to the map, your browser asks tiles.openfreemap.org for map images, and that service receives your IP address and standard browser details. If you never scroll to the map, no request is made.

Everything else, including the fonts, the map software and the toll data, is served from tolling.info itself. Locations in the dataset were looked up once, when the dataset was built, so your browser never contacts a geocoding service.

How we use it

Only to see which pages people use and to find things that are broken or slow. We do not combine it with other information about you, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services named above.

Your choices

• Block cookies and site storage in your browser settings, or use a content blocker. The site works fully without either.
• Install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Your rights

We keep no records about individual visitors ourselves; what exists is held by the services above, mostly as aggregated reports. You can email us to ask what we can see, or to ask us to delete anything we can delete, and we will help as far as those services allow.

If you email us

We keep your message and address only as long as we need to answer it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
